Turning 30 online movie review

Mid-life crisis or a much-needed metamorphosis: it's up to each individual on how they tackle the turning-thirty tumult in their life. For quintessential cosmo girl, Gul Panag, this turnstile threatens to end up as the biggest stumbling block in her life. Like a desi Bridget Jones, she swears and hollers at any and everybody who dares to cross her thorny path.

And thorny it is....Her love life's over; her job's in jeopardy; her boss is a jerk; her rival-at-work is an unethical bum who doesn't bat an eyelid before stealing her ideas and her awards; the glass ceiling never seems to lift; and the sun never seems to shine after all the endless whining and winesessions with a similar bunch of angsty friends. Yes, Gul's sisterhood has a history of existential angst with cheating husbands, alternate sexuality and heartbreak staring all of them in the face. So what does the swinging trio do to counter the big city blues? They cut their hair, paint their nails, splurge on showy lingerie and even have a shot of the half monty. Doesn't work. In fact, Gul even manages to hook up with her ex-boyfriend (Purab Kohli), while hoping the love of her life will get back to her. Still doesn't work. For, as the feisty protagonist finds out: you can't find love until you find yourself.

Turning 30 is truly a chick flick. It brings to life living, breathing, flesh and blood female protagonists who face real problems in a rat-race world. Of course, our hero here is the urbane, ambitious, independent woman who wants it all, like the man next door. Kudos to Alankrita Shrivastava who makes a refreshing debut with a film that looks at the world through the female gaze. And the fact that Gul Panag perfectly slips into the shoes of her balsy-batty female protagonist adds extra spice to the proceedings. Somewhere down the second half, the script does slip into cliches and the phobia of turning 30 gets a bit exaggerated, but that's okay. For in the end, the smart dialogues, the subtle humour and the fond look at female frailty/vanity in strong women characters makes for some fun viewing. Refreshing, unusual and unlike your typical women-oriented films, Turning 30 marks an addition to the increasing tribe of intelligent women directors.

Aish Movie Online Review

Story :
Aisha Kapoor (Sonam Kapoor) is the quintessential uptown girl from super rich South Delhi. She's smart, sassy and intelligent and spends her time with usual cosmo concerns: animal rights, art exhibitions, weekend getaways, polo matches, shopaholic sprees....But more than all this, her pet obsession seems to be matchmaking.

After having found a suitable match for her aunt, she now wants to pair off her newfound friend, downmarket, small town-ish Shefali Tiwari (Amrita Puri), to Randhir Gambhir (Cyrus Sahukar), the man who actually is all eyes for Aisha alone. But before she can do that, she must transform the Haryanvi behenji into an uber chic style diva like herself. Indeed, a difficult project that gets even more tough because childhood buddy, Arjun Burman (Abhay Deol), seems hell-bent on scuttling all her `new projects' and censuring her `social work' as meddlesome mess. Does Arjun's opinion actually matter? Are marriages made in heaven? Can love be stage-managed? Good questions!

Review :
Take a back bench, Carrie Bradshaw and Co. Indian movielore has its own city slicker chicks who are definitely sweeter, sexier and more svelte than all of the Sex and the City girlie brigade put together. What's more important is the fact that their concerns are soooooo recognisable, ekdum familiar, and absolutely rib-tickling. So much so, they strike an instant chord with any and everybody -- chick and chico -- who has undergone the metropolitan mating game, complete with its distinct social divide between the two distinct types: the uptown dudes and dudettes and the downtown behenjis and bhaiyyas!

Producer Rhea Kapoor and director Rajshree Ojha's Aisha is a charmer for so many reasons. First and foremost, the film completely dazzles you with its style quotient. Truly, this must be one of the most exquisitely crafted films to sashay down Bollywood's boulevard in the non-action genre (we've had a lot of stylish action films, beginning with Satya). Every bit of costume, every incidental accessory and every tone of colour has been carefully co-ordinated to create a never-ending canvas that reminds you of a walk in a museum, brimming over with objects d 'arts. From Manish Arora, Anamika Khanna to Chanel and Ralph Lauren, Aisha and her friends just leave you gurgling with glee as they balance the bizarre with the beautiful. And yet, this fashion extravaganza never seems like a hollow catwalk. Kudos to stylist Pernia Qureshi and costume designer Kunal Rawal who create a whole new aesthetics for desi cinema. It's extremely difficult translating the aesthetics of an Austen novel on to the big screen, something which auteur director Ang Lee successfully managed in Sense and Sensibility. But when you try and translate Austen's early 19th century England into saddi Dilli and Manhattan-like Mumbai, it's got to be tricky. But hey, no hiccups for our stylists here. The transition is silken and smooth.

But the style quotient works only because the girls are such strong flesh and blood characters and carry it off so beautifully. Sonam Kapoor's super snob and spoilt brattish Aisha is actually quite adorable, even as Ira Dubey's best friend act as Pinky Bose stands out with its supercilious splendour. The duo are absolutely riveting as they breathe life into the archetypal `super bi**ches' who, if you scratch the glossy surface, are gooey and good-hearted go-getters too. They too have the same fears and the same dreams as the simpleton, Shefali who falls into their trap and becomes their latest victim and pastime. In a seminal scene, the three girls put their heads together, wonder and giggle whether they will have to die single. Sweet! Add to this the fourth diva, New-York returned, white-collared, corporate yuppie, Aarti (Lisa Haydon) and you have a female foursome that literally carries the film on its fair and fragile shoulders.

But all this womanly business doesn't leave the men behind in any way. All the male characters have substance and soul, including Sonam's dahling of a dad (MK Raina) who first berates her on her exorbitant credit card bill and then later, shares a bowl of gajar ka halwa with her while dishing out some delicious homilies on love and life. Leading the men's brigade of course is Abhay Deol who creates Jane Austen's Mr Knightley to Sonam's Emma Woodhouse with an irresistible charm that is all his dimpled own. Completely in command, charmingly censorious and so much in love, he's the essence of Austen's heroes. But the rest of the boys -- Cyrus Sahukar, Arunoday Singh and Anand Tiwari -- aren't far behind.

Watch out also for Javed Akhtar's and Amit Trivedi's peppy music track which sends you out humming `gal mitthi mitthi bol', as you savour your money's worth.

Sweet love, substantial performances, super fun, slick 'n stylish, Aisha is a-ha stuff.

Raavan even worse than Kites

Till just a few days back, the industry was smiling with the blockbuster success of Raajneeti. However, the smiles have vanished all over again with Raavan turning out to be disaster at the box office. Wait, before we delve into the box office fate of the film, let's also talk about the film by itself. The fact remains that this Mani Ratnam

directed film is disastrous even from the content and execution perspective. Certain films have good content but get marred by poor execution. Some films have a decent execution but the script doesn't contain much meat to take them through. However, when the combination of both these factors turns out to be poor, there is nothing that can salvage the situation.

This is what happened in case of Raavan where the coming together of names like Mani Ratnam, Aishwarya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, A.R. Rahman, Gulzar and Big Pictures just couldn't help the cause. The film received poor all around response. Audience, industry folks, trade and critics - there was just no liking for this extravagant affair that was strong only from its technical perspective. Worse, for all its claims of originality, Raavan was nothing but the coming together of Subhash Ghai's Khalnayak and Ram Gopal Varma's Jungle. Though both these films were entertaining, Raavan wasn't and it showed in the box office collections.

As predicted last week, a good opening was never on the cards for Raavan. It was stated that the film would require at least 70% opening and sustained word of mouth to do anything worthwhile at the box office. However, as it turned out, Raavan had a below average opening of 50% across the country and that is now staring at the bottom of the barrel due to an out and out negative word of mouth. Few lovers of art can still be seen patronising the film, but sadly such numbers are miniscule.

The way Raavan is currently performing, it is all set to score far less than the last big budgeted disaster - Kites. The Hrithik Roshan starrer had managed a very good opening weekend (30 crores) for itself despite poor word of mouth and reviews. However, for Raavan it would indeed be a task to reach the 30 crores mark even after the completion of one full week, with less than 20 crores coming in after the closure of first weekend. Moreover, from second week onwards it is only expected to go further downhill despite no competition.

All in all, yet another sad outing for Abhishek Bachchan after Delhi-6 as both the films were placed entirely on his shoulders. As for Aishwarya Bachchan, she would now have to look forward to the release of Action Replayy and Guzaarish to hunt for that elusive hit.

Story: Cop Dev Pratap Sharma (Vikram) has just one mission in his life. He wants to capture the local outlaw, Beera (Abhishek Bachchan) who may be a Robin Hood for the tribals around, nevertheless, he is a law breaker. More importantly, he has kidnapped the cop's beautiful wife, Ragini (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) to avenge a personal grouse and has escaped into the dense jungles. Turn ofevents: the kidnapper falls in love with his trophy victim who too gets indecisive about where her loyalties lie....

Movie Review: The epics return again to contemporary cinema. After a re-telling of the Mahabharata against a political backdrop in Prakash Jha's Raajneeti, cineastes can now feast their eyes on a modern-day rewrite of the Ramayana, against a cops-and-robbers canvas.

Feast? Yes. The high point of Mani Ratnam's film is primarily its visual opulence. The film is literally a work of art where one luminescent frame follows another as the scenes keep shifting from one wet and rocky landscape to another misty mountainscape. You can't seem to get enough of the montages that leave you breathless with the excellent camera artistry by Santosh Sivan and Manikandan. From the opening sequences where Beera (Abhishek) smashes his boat into wide-eyed Aishwarya's canoe, to the fleeing, flinging, fulminating visage of Aishwarya, captured against wild waterfalls, turbulent tidal rivers, crumbling trees and silken drizzle, the film is a string of breath taking images. So much so, you seem to forget -- and almost forgive -- the fact that the first half hardly has any story. It is essentially just one prolonged chase, where cop Dev (Vikram) relentlessly pursues criminal Beera (Abhishek Bachchan) in order to rescue his wife (Ragini) and book the fugitive who garners great local support.

Ravana is supposedly a modern day take on the Ramayana with Abhishek playing the title role. Abhishek Bachchan's sister gets publicly humiliated by the character played by South star Vikram. An angry Abhishek seeks revenge and storms into Vikram’s house. But he doesn't find him there. Wanting to teach him a lesson, Abhishek kidnaps Vikram's wife played by Aishwarya Rai. Chased by the police, Abhishek hides in the nearby jungle. And guess what? Both of Abhi-Ash end up falling in love. What follows next forms the rest of the film. It's Abhi-Ash's love affair that brings in the twist in the tale. Mani's wife Suhasini makes her Bollywood debut with Ravana. Your first reaction on learning about the bathing scene?
When Jagmohan was narrating the script to me he had said the bathing scene might be an option but if I decided to shoot it, he would present it aesthetically and allow me to call the shots. He added that if I didn't like the scene or had a problem with the way it looked afterward, it was my call to have it edited out.

Did you ensure that least number of people were present when you shot the scene?
Yes. The only people present were Jag sir, cameraman Uday Tiwari, my assistant and the EP Krishna Banerjee.

Were you awkward or uncomfortable?
I went about it very professionally. Initially, I was nervous but later, after seeing the scene and the way it was shot, I am confident it will go down well. They also showed me Tanushree's shower scene with Rohit in her lavish apartment and then there is my bathing scene in a run-down broken bathroom. I am sure there will be comparisons.

Have you seen Smita Patil's Chakra bathing scene? Might be comparisons to that too.
I knew that Smita Patil had done a similar bathing scene in Chakra. I have been compared to Smitaji since Traffic Signal but it's not fair to be compared to anyone. She was a legend. We all look up to her. If I can be even one per cent of what she was, my life is set.

Were you really bare, as it seems in the photograph?
Well it shows that I am nude but I don't want to comment beyond that. It can be a trick of the camera too. Do you think any actress would pose for a scene like this without wearing anything?

Does your family know about your nude scene?
My family knows me very well and they also know that I am only answerable to my work and nobody else. I take my own decisions.

What's Apartment about?
It's a contemporary thriller set in an apartment where two people live. I play a girl from a small town who loses her mind when she come to the big city and tries to settle down.

Paiya Movie Review Online

Paiya Movie Review Online: “Paiya’ is an urban story and tells the interesting events happening in the lives of a pair of lovers (Karthi and Tamanna). Besides, Milind Soman and Sonia Deepti are playing pivotal roles. The movie was widely shot in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

Paiya is all set to hit the screens on April 2nd Worldwide. Paiya stars Karthik Shivakumar and Tamanna in the lead roles. Music is scored by mass Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The suspense element is when an unknown person joins their three days journey and unexpected twists and interesting things, happen during the journey.

However, thanks to computer graphics and visual effects, the background of the song will change to dense forests and lush mountain ranges, it is said. A rain song “Adada Mazhaida”, featuring Karthi and Tamanna, was shot at the Athirappilly waterfalls recently.

Salman Khan's jail life on big screen

Films based on real life incidents is not new in Bollywood but a film on actor Salman Khan's jail life will be different all together. The latest news is that Ranjit Sharma is making a film titled Qaidi No 210, based on actor's stay in the jail in connection to the infamous chinkara case.

Mahesh Kumar Saini, who spent three days with Salman in Jodhpur Central Jail in 1996, has provided enough information to Ranjit about the actor. Ranjit said that he met Mahesh, a murder suspect, while researching on the subject and asked him to contact him once he is released from the jail. He added that Salman's cellmate has given details about the actor.

Mahesh is all praise for Salman, saying that he was the nicest man he has ever met and was sure that he was innocent as far as chinkara case is concerned. He is not willing to reveal whatever Salman said but he is sure that the actor did not fire that shot. He claimed that Salman was addicted to coffee and needed a cup of it every hour, and ate nothing in the cell but the chocolates his brother Sohail had given him.

Recounting the days he spent with Salman, he said that the actor ate soyabean he prepared on the second night. They managed to bring dumb bells into the cell for work out though it's not allowed. Mahesh revealed that he arranged a carrom board and a chess board for him, as he was bored. He added that the actor offered to give him Rs.20,000 as a token of his appreciation but he had asked him to find him a job instead once he is released.

Soundarya Rajinikanth in trouble again!

Anil Ambani's Reliance Media Works has filed a case against Soundarya Rajinikanth’s Ocher Studios (OS) to get back their of Rs 11.59 cr that invested for Rajini starrer animation film Sultan the Warrior.

According to the case, Reliance Media Works had signed a contract with OS, way back in January 2008 to jointly produce Sultan- The Warrior, an animated film featuring Superstar Rajinikanth, and was slated for release in April 2009. RMW after terminating its contract with Ocher in June 2009, failed to recover dues worth Rs 11.59 Crore and has now filed a suit against the company.

And when RMW came to know that OS is planning to release Sultan- The Warrior, in June 2010, they moved to Madras High Court on February 16 to restrain them from 'releasing, exhibiting, marketing or distributing' the film without settling their dues together with an interest of 12 percent per annum!

The case is now scheduled to come up for hearing on March 29. But Latha Rajinikanth, the Chairman of Ocher says that they are trying to settle the issue outside the court.

The story of Road with that of the American Beat Generation of the 1950s who valued their freedom most. Who wanted go out and taste life. Road tells the story of one such man named Vishnu. He is a restless young man who want get away the daily hassles of life. His father has a hair oil business which is not doing well and he wants his son to take over his business but Vishnu has no interest. Then his ticket to freedom comes in the form of an old Chevy. He offers to drive the old Chevy across the desert to the sea. The Chevy has a collection of forty two movies and two projectors. On his way, Vishnu picks up a young runaway, a wandering old entertainer and a striking gypsy woman. The group then roams around the desert in search of water and a fair. They run into problems after being misled by a corrupt police and a waterlord. Stuck in the middle of desert they have only one choice, to show their movies. If the movies are good they would enjoy their freedom. In this unique journey Vishnu discovers love and joy of life.

Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? Movie Review Online

First Bollywood venture of famous Hollywood Studio Warner Brothers, “Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge” is releasing today, 5th March. Directed by Ashwni Dhir and produce by Amita Pathak, the movie is ready to recreate the magic of clean and simple comedy of 70s era.

The story of the movie revolves around a married couple Puneet (Ajay Devgn) and Munmun (Konkona Sen Sharma) who lives in Mumbai. There life changes when their distant relative, Chachaji (Paresh Rawal) steps into their house from village. The overstaying of guest frustrates the couple and situation becomes more comic when they make plans to throw Chachaji out of their house.

Performance wise Paresh Rawal outshines every actor. He portrays the real and raw character traits of an old villager and his habit of producing bad gas adds humor in every scene. Ajay and Konkona are impressive in their respective roles.

The story of the movie by Robin Bhatt and Tushar Hiranandani is well written, except some parts which look unnecessary. But the story does remind us of the classy movies of brilliant directors like Hrishikesh Mukerjee and Basu Bhattacharya.
Director Ashwni Dhir has done a good job. He has successfully depicted the plight of middle class family who lives in a metro and is unable to bear such a guest who is not willing to go anywhere and loves to enjoy his position.

Ashwni Dhir has written hilarious and rib tickling dialogues. The cinematography by Aseem Bajaj is very impressive.

Though the music of the movie by Pritam is not so catchy but it goes well with the situations of the movie especially the devotional song.

The other cast includes Satish Kaushik who is as usual unforgettable. Sanjay Mishra is quite impressive in his role. Akhilendra Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari and Viju Khote are also good.

Altogether “Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge” is sensible, clean and lighthearted comedy that is a full family entertainer

. It is a worth watching film.

No Shahid-Kareena show for now

Boney Kapoor has apparently decided to postpone the release of his five-year-old Milenge Milenge (with Kareena Kapoor) because his hero Shahid Kapoor has requested it.

No blasts from past
It is learnt that Shahid is keen that his upcoming releases are not blasts from the past. He doesn't want to dilute the high Kaminey gave him, by following it up with a dabbe ka picture (as films long in the making are popularly called in B-Town).

Pehle yeh...
Shahid wants his buddy Ahmed Khan's Paathshaala and Yash Raj Films' Badmaash Company to release first. Shahid feels that Paathshaala has shaped out well and could be his Taare Zameen Par.
Milenge Milenge has been in the making for years and he is convinced that if it releases before the new films, it could mar his popularity. Boney has now postponed his film from April 2 this year to an indefinite date. He is expected to announce the release date in the coming week."

You decide...
Boney says, "Yes. I have postponed Milenge Milenge from April 2 and Shahid did tell me to postpone the film as he felt that for three films to release at the same time would make all suffer and also cut into the promotional events but he also said that the final decision is mine."

Music video
Boney adds that he also pushed the release ahead for other reasons, "We have recorded a new song, Sab Kuch Khatam Hokar Bhi by Himesh Reshammiya. It's probably Himesh's best song and Shahid was very excited when he heard it. He was very excited about the song and said this could be the surprise of the film. He's agreed to shoot the music video. Now I need to ask Kareena."

Sitting on a winner
Boney says that Bebo is willing to promote the film. "This could be something exciting if the two of them decide to promote MM together. In fact, after Bebo finished dubbing she asked the team why we were holding back the release, because she thought we are sitting on a winner."

According to Boney, another reason the film has been delayed is the music company T-Series. "When I played the new soundtrack to Bhushan Kumar, he said that the music is exceptional and would need a six-week window to promote and do justice to it. I have to respect the person who is investing so much into my film. I have been showing promos to different people and everyone is saying that they are looking fresh and fantastic."

Ranjitha in Nithyananda sex scandal?

A popular Tamil actress has been caught red-handed getting intimate with Swamiji Nithyananda, who is known as the guru of Tamil Nadu. The alleged sex video scam of the Swamiji, aired by Sun News, has created shock waves across the Tamil Nadu State and beyond. Following the reports that the girl in the video is Tamil actress Ranjitha

The Tamil news channel Sun TV broadcast the video but didn't reveal the location and the identity of the girl involved. The actress' face was blurred in the video. The news is doing the rounds that the girl, who was seen with Swami Nithyananda in the video, is Tamil actress Ranjitha.
Ranjitha was introduced to films by the famous Tamil director Bharathiraja in Nadodithentral with Karthik.

Karthik Calling Karthik Review

Karthik (Farhan) is timid fellow forever bullied by his boss Kamath (Ram Kapoor) and his workmates. Even his landlord spares no opportunity in pestering him. Karthik is silently in love with the hottest gal in his office architect Shonali Mukherjee (Deepika). But she doesn’t even know that he exists despite working together for years. Karthik keeps getting nightmares of one childhood incident wherein he feels he was responsible for his elder brother’s death. He consults a psychiatrist (Shefali Shah) for the same. One day as his sufferings from the hands of his boss and life in general become unbearable he decides to commit to suicide. Just when when he is about to pop sleeping pills to end his life his landline phone rings. A voice sounding similarly like him tells him its Karthik on the other end and it is no one else but himself. At first Karthik doesn’t believe it and tries to find from the phone company office if such a call actually came. But no such record is shown. Then again same time next day that’s 5 am in the morning he gets a call again with Karthik calling at the other end. Intrigued he gets talking to him. The caller sympathises with Karthik and guides him to become a better and successful person. As Karthik follows the instructions his life changes over night. Not only does he gets Shonali whom he had been dreaming about since many years but also gets a chance to get even with his bully boss and gets a hot shot job profile for himself in the same company where he was insulted. The calls keep coming daily at 5 am and Karthik is happy having found a guide. The caller however cautions Karthik that he should not talk about this secret to anyone. But in a weak moment, Karthik makes the mistake and reveals about the calls to Shonali. He not only stops at that but on Shonali’s insistence avoids picking up further calls. What hell is unleashed on Karthik by the mysterious caller and how Karthik faces his demons forms the rest of the film.

A very hatke concept, Karthik Calling Karthik (KCK) has been stylishly shot like a taut Hollywood thriller. Keeping you much intrigued with what will happen next, the film is a good exercise of the guessing game but up to the last twenty minutes. It derails big time in the closing reels. Since it’s a suspense thriller much can’t be revealed at this point. Certain cinematic liberties taken and a disappointingly predictable climax loosen the final impact. The much needed climax punch is sorely missing. The revelation though interesting doesn’t give you that, “Oh I didn’t know this was coming” feeling! But these things apart KCK is a good one time watch for many reasons. Debutante director Vijay Lalwani shows terrific spark and more can be expected from his future projects. The cinematography, background score by Medieval Punditz and Karsh Kale enhance the thrill. The art direction deserves special mention. The dialogues are very good, in fact the intelligent one-liners will have you in splits.

Farhan Akhtar is only improving as an actor with each passing film. Just when you saw him confidently portray a self assured character in his first two films, in here he oscillates well between playing a meek guy and a super confident person. Deepika fits the part perfectly. They both make an unusually cute pair. Vivan Bathena and Ram Kapoor are aptly cast. Shefali Shah is good in the three scenes that she gets.

Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s music is already ruling the charts and is superbly incorporated in the film with the song numbers being well shot. Karthik Calling Karthik could have been better had there been a cracker of a climax but nonetheless, it’s a good film that deserves one viewing at least.

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is a Tamil film directed by Gautham Menon. Starring Silambarasan Rajendar and Trisha Krishnan.

The music is given by A. R. Rahman, teaming up with both Gautham Menon and Silambarasan, released on 26 February 2010.

The film is simultaneously made in Telugu as Ye Maaya Chesave.

The film was shot in many picturesque locations including the beautiful Malta islands near Italy and various locations in the U.S.A including New York City, and various scenic spots in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The movie has been slated for a February 26 release.

But things take an unexpected turn when he falls in love with a Jessie (Trisha); he’s ready to sacrifice his biggest dreams.

Though much hasn’t been divulged about this breezy romantic entertainer, sources reveal that Trisha flies to the US and much like Surya in Vaaranam Aayiram, Simbhu, the assistant director in the film, sets aboard a voyage in pursuit of his love.

Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai Movie Review

With couple of his previous films yielding him lukewarm responses at box office, actor Vishal had seemingly changed his mind to take up unique scripts. Of course, he has stepped out of clichéd formulas and has picked a romantic entertainer.

‘Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai’ is about a well educated guy Karthik (Vishal) who wants everything best in his life. Be it a small pen or a shirt, he wants every aspect to be perfect. Similarly, he sets out about falling in love with three girls at the same time and plans to choose one amongst them.

He comes across Priya (Sarah Jane), a girl who believes in pathi parameshwar concept, i.e. about falling in love with a person and marrying him. On pars, there’s Jyothi (Tanushree Dutta), who always has a hatred for all guys and then it’s Tejashwini (Neethu Chandra), one of the hot and happening millionaires in town.On the process of wooing them down, these gals indeed fall in love with him. Now, he’s completely pitted into unexpected troubles as it comes to choosing one amongst them…

Vishal looks pretty decorous with his well-chosen costumes and carries his role well with perfection. Neethu Chandra offers a grand fiesta of glamorous quotients while Tanushree Dutta has a good establishment of her characterization and later gets diminished in course of time. Sarah Jane makes it appealingly blissful with her performance as a cute and lovable girl. However, Neetu Chandra gets more footage throughout the film and keeps getting on well. Santhanam adds to the humor quotients with his rib-tickling comedy tracks, especially in the first hour.

Prakash Raj doesn’t get more scope as he appears not more than 3 scenes.Yuvan Shankar Raja could’ve done a fine job as only couple of songs sound well. Cinematography by Aravind Krishna is excellent while art works and choreography add more colors to the visual quotients.The first half of the movie goes enjoyable while the second half is completely contrastive with a longer duration and more predictable parts.

With Sun Pictures promoting the film with greater magnitude, ‘Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai’ is sure to make it big in box office for next couple of months.And finally, we mark our verdicts that the film is aptly for ‘B’ and ‘C’ centres while the multiplex audiences may not have a great likeliness for this film.

After successfully directing three films namely ‘Salaam Namaste’, ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’ and ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ for Yash Raj Films, director Siddharth Anand is all set to start his next venture this time for producer Sajid Nadiadwala's banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.

The film is titled ‘Anjaana Anjaani’, and will star Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. It's a romantic comedy starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. The film would be shot in New York, San Francisco and Las Vegas.

Music of the film has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar who have composed the music for all of Siddharth's past three films.
